A traditional and well-layered sake, this Junmai Daiginjo hails from the Niigata prefecture, birthplace of its namesake, the Koi fish. Nishikigoi Sake is the product of Imayo Tsukasa Sake Brewery and is a traditional sake that boasts spicy notes of cinnamon and nutmeg, buffered by earthy hints of Parisian mushroom and garlic, giving it a soft, buttery feel while still providing a kick at the end.
The beauty within is equally matched by the beauty without as the bottle that houses Nishikigoi Saké is artfully crafted by Yamaharu Glass Co. The distinctive red-on-white pattern that mimics the Kohaku variety of Koi has been the recipient of numerous design awards, making each unique bottle a collector’s item.
